What does Unite By Yoga offer?
We offer live streamed classes via Zoom, outdoor classes in the Bay Area, a Yoga On Demand library of recorded videos, and in-person events that feature local artisans such as musicians, chefs, winemakers, and more. Whether it’s your first time practicing yoga, or you’re a seasoned yogi, we have classes for you.
Do you offer a monthly membership or a drop in option?
We offer both! And more!
Upon checkout, you’ll be able to choose between:
- A single class for $10-$25 sliding scale
- A live stream 5 Class Pack for $45
- A live stream 10 Class Pack for $80
- A single Yoga On Demand video rental for $8
- Our Monthly Membership for $49.99/month (which grants you unlimited access to all of our live stream classes, outdoor classes, and Yoga On Demand library!)
*Please keep in mind that these prices are the base rates (meaning this is how much Unite By Yoga gets). However, Momence, the website that we use to book our classes, charges a service fee so it ends up being a small percentage more that gets charged to your account.
If you plan on taking 2 or more classes/week, the monthly membership is the way to go to save time & money. The monthly membership grants you unlimited access to all of our offerings: live stream virtual classes, outdoor classes, and Yoga on Demand library. Please note that pricing for our events may vary.

Is there a suggested amount to pay for a live stream drop in class?

How do I register for a live stream or outdoor class?
Check out our schedule and click “sign up” for the class you would like to take. The system will prompt you to log into your account if you’re not already logged in. If you have a monthly membership, no need to do anything else. If you’re dropping in for a single class, you’ll be asked to pay. *Please note that once a class begins, you will no longer be able to register for it.
How do I create an account?
When first signing up for Unite By Yoga (whether for a monthly subscription or a drop in class), you’ll be prompted create an account with Ribbon and fill out a waiver.
Why do I need an account?
We require your name and email so we can send you a unique Zoom link prior to the start of your live stream class! We also need you to sign our waiver prior to practicing.
Is my information secure?
Absolutely. We use Momence for scheduling and payments. They’re one of the most trusted and widely used platforms for fitness businesses.
How does the technology work?
Our live classes are held on Zoom so be sure to first have a Zoom account. After you’ve signed up for a class, you’ll receive an email from confirmations@ribbon-
“Doors” open 10 minutes before class.
Do I need to turn my video camera on during live stream class?
Of course not! Many people choose to leave their cameras off. While we’d love to see your smiling faces, we’ll never ask you to turn your camera on. For students who do chose to keep their cameras on, our teachers are happy to give tips or virtual adjustments if you’d like them.
What if I don’t see the email?
First, be sure you’re checking the email associated with your Momence account (sounds obvious, but it happens more than you’d think!). Next please check all of your folders (spam, promotions, etc.). Can I bring a friend to class?
Practicing with friends is the best! Please note though that they will have to register separately. Each link is customized for single use and will only work with one user.
Are classes recorded?
All of Unite By Yoga’s live stream classes are recorded, but rest assured that only the teacher’s screen is being recorded.
What timezone is my class in?
All of Unite By Yoga’s classes are in Pacific Standard Time.
Is there any yogi etiquette I should be aware of?
Do your best to please be on time and stay for the entire class! Our teachers take great care to warm students up in the beginning of class so as to not cause injury, so the beginning portion of class is important for your safety. The cool down portion at the end is also important and savasana, the final pose in all of our classes, is the most important pose that you’ll find in any yoga class.
Traditionally yogis practice the postures so that they can exhaust their bodies and minds in order to meditate. Give yourself that time to rest and soak up all the benefits of your hard work. Our teachers always end class on time so try to carve out the entire hour for yourself. You deserve it!
If I’m running late for live stream class, how long will the teacher wait?
If no one shows up for a live stream class, our teachers will wait five minutes for someone to show up before ending the live stream. They’ll wait ten minutes for someone to show for an outdoor class before leaving.
What gear is required?
You’ll need a mat, a stable internet connection, and a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Props such as yoga blocks, straps, blankets, and bolsters are optional and the need for them varies by class. Check out the class descriptions for a better idea of what we recommend. Since you’re practicing at home, the good news is that you can get creative if you don’t have the recommended props. Water bottles, books, and soup cans make great blocks. Couch cushions and regular blankets make great bolsters and yoga blankets. An old t-shirt or towel makes for a great strap in a pinch.
Can I play my own music during live stream class?
Absolutely. No music will be played during class so feel free to play your own.
What if I lose my connection during class?
Internet connections can be unstable at times. If you lose connection due to your internet, follow the same link you were emailed to get back into class.
Why does my video keep freezing?
Live classes may freeze if your internet bandwidth is low. Check that your internet speed is at least 1.5 Mbps.
I’m getting an error message when trying to register for classes. What should I do?
Clearing the cookies and cache on the device you’re using and then restarting the device to reset the browser will also fix most known errors. If you’re still having issues, the quickest way to resolve them is through the help chat on Ribbon’s website. You can also send us an email at email@example.com.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel right up to the start of class.
